Selecting a portrait painter is a difficult task and one that raises a myriad of questions: how do I find one? What will it cost? How do I assess suitability? How long will it take? Fine Art Commissions are able to answer these and many other questions besides, and to do so at no extra cost for the ‘customer’. Their advice, service, personal touch and management of the process leading to the selection of an artist to undertake a commission of three different portraits could not be faulted and we have been delighted with the outcome.
Richard Morris, The Society of Merchant Venturers
The University benefitted greatly from the services of 'Fine Art Commissions' helping us to carefully select just the right artist. The commissions were particularly important to the university, beginning, as they did, our collection of oil paintings which form a permanent record of our history. The process of matching subject to artist was handled very professionally and this ensured that each had real empathy. The results are magnificent and hang in the university's Senate House main entrance for all to admire.
Professor Holmes, University of Bolton
The portrait for the University I approached with trepidation, as I thought it would be both a personal and public experience and I needed persuasion to ‘go on canvas’. I felt it would be personal, because it reaches inside you, and public because it will be seen by people who have, and have not, met you. Fine Art Commissions, together with the artist, gave me the necessary re-assurance and confidence to go ahead. The result fully justified the confidence I’d placed in them.
John Standen, University of Hull
The University would recommend both the commissioning service and the artists unreservedly to others looking for fine works of art to grace their collections and to treasure. The University will certainly be using the services again and again over the coming years to record our evolution and history properly for posterity.
Professor Holmes, University of Bolton
The University of Bolton came to Fine Art Commissions wanting a portrait of retired Chancellor, Baroness Morris of Bolton. We helped to choose the artist, assisted with framing and made sure that the painting was completed in time for the unveiling. The University was delighted with the framed portrait.Shown above are just a fraction of the many portraits that we've successfully commissioned.
